Last night ended with breaking the fast (for Yom Kippur) and we ate lots of good food. I did not fast so I was not as hungry as everyone else. I had half of a blueberry bagel and two pieces of kugel. Also, I had a piece of cake. There was lots of food and it was buffet style. I took a picture, but snuck it so it is not that great.
On the way to dinner last night Sam opened a piece of my mail and I was invited to be a black card member. If you do not know what a black card is it is a special card that people have that spend a ton of money. A lot of celebrities own it and it is made out of carbon, has about a $500 annual fee, and comes with all sorts of perks like your own concierge when you travel. I don’t know how I was invited to be a member (I don’t spend that much) it must have been a f look.

I was so excited for today to almost end because I went to a yoga class tonight and could not wait all day long. All I kept thinking about was yoga yoga yoga. I had a great lunch today and brought back a summer time treat…cucarachas! That’s right dates with almond butter so YUM.

Just say no to soda:
I am also going to try to stay away from soda. All types of soda caffeine free and diet. I want to see if I can see a difference in my body and see how much soda has been affecting me. So if you see me with a soda or a picture of it on my blog yell at me and slap me out of it. I am going to try my hardest not to. I told Sam and he said ok I will drink them all and then you don’t have to buy any more. What a great hubby!
So after school I went to watch Jen my cousin (Sam’s cousin) play her first field hockey game. She is in 8th grade and just started this year. She is really good and has a great hit. It seems like I go to a lot of games and yeah you are right, but this is a different cousin who is in 8th grade and the other 2 are twins who are Freshman in high school and are playing Varsity.
TIME FOR YOGA:
YIPPY!!! I never thought I would love it this much, but I do and was so happy to be able to go tonight. The class was pretty full for a Tuesday night there were 7 of us. My favorite pose tonight was…wait for it,wait for it…dadadada…drum roll…dadadada

So my dilemma is that I have not been to kettlebells in a long time and I really want to go tomorrow night, but right after that class is Bikram and I really want to go to that too. I don’t know what I should do. I need to fix their schedule because they CAN NOT have 2 great classes back to back. I could try kettlebells and take it easy and then do Bikram. NO NO that would just be insane. HELP!!!! What shall I do??? HELP !!

Well anyways I was playing a online game called “Combat Arms” and I hate glitcher’s and hackers like everybody else who play legitimately. Well if you haven’t played the game you can buy a “Elite Moderator” item that allows you to rule over the game you play by kicking who ever you want. After I bought the item and now those glichers have avoided me much more then before. (I’m so happy!) Well it also helps against the annoying people who keep said “Your noob” and “Stupid Hacker” just because they got killed.(sore losers) As a example somebody I told to shut up and play the game decided to say “Make me.” That was the wrong thing to say. XD He was out of the game faster then you can say “Achoo!~” It’s also great for hosting parties underground at “Snow Valley.” It’s like one of those check list to get in. Also I decided that when were at our underground pent house that the other them seems to be the “Feds.” Lol that was a fun time. Anyways that is it and I’ll blog about something else later.

As part of my brother’s Bachelor Party in Vegas, we got bottle service at Tao.
When we first got there, we barely turned around and already 3 girls decided to go up and sit in our booth and “flirt” with us… but for anybody who wasn’t desperate, our bitch radar was ringing off the chain. The Spider sense wasn’t just tingling, it was taking a dump2. And yet as soon as we kicked them out for being leeches, another bachelorette group came in. They literally pranced in, single file line, sat on the couch, and immediately had this expectant look on their face for us to shower them with attention and give them free drinks. We showered them with attention alright: our bouncer’s attention, who told them to get the fuck out.
I’m really not sure who to blame for this state of affairs in the club. Is it girls, who use their looks and status to shamelessly whore themselves out for free drinks and a place to sit? Or is it the guys, who have to flaunt money and power just for girls to get attracted to them and believe that the girls are really interested in them? Although most of my rejection that night was due to horrid, bad, ugly, detesting game, I know that I could’ve gotten somewhere with certain girls by saying “HEY, I GOT VIP, LET’S DRINK”… but I would hate myself if I had to rely on that. Saying that would be like saying, “Hey, since I can’t seduce you with my words or my looks, can I just throw money at you until you have sex with me?” It’s pathetic.
The only success encounter I had was marginally okay. I talked to this girl in the booth across from us, said hi and tried to initiate conversation. But the noise of the club and our poor hearing made turned it into a Lil’ Jon single. “WHAT? WHAT? OKAY!” Not only was it already really hard to sustain conversation but she didn’t give me a lot to work with. I felt like we were just going through the motions and couldn’t number close.
The lessons I want to take out of it are this:

One of my irritations, or pet peeves, about comment threads at Game websites, is a subset of guys who under value women’s looks in an attempt to raise their own status. A distinct minority of guys, but sometimes a quite vocal one.
I must admit that the impetus to comment on this came from a poll that Alkibiades ran yesterday. He put up a picture of a woman, and asked readers if they would: pump and dump, marry, ltr, F. Buddy, or not touch her with a ten foot pole. As of this writing, out of 61 total votes, 16 chose the latter.
In my humble opinion her picture didn’t warrant such a harsh vote. She seems like a 6 to me. Maybe a bit higher for her age. For whats it’s worth, I voted for PaD.
Now, after reading The Spearhead today, I realize this woman is a nutburger who had sex with her own teenage son. Perhaps some of the voters who choose: wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole- knew about this story.
I’m also wondering if men who are against pre-marital sex would vote “ten foot pole” (if they didn’t feel she was worthy of marriage or ltr) by default.
Can’t use this poll to demonstrate my point anymore. Obviously some of the voters might have already known about this wacko before they chose.
My irritation still stands though. Every time Roissy writes one of his “Approach This Set” posts for example, the comment section has a few people ridiculously undervaluing the women in the picture.
Generally an 8 becomes a 6( or even less in a few cases), a 6 becomes a 4( or a 3), and so on. Maybe they take those 2 subtracted points and add them somewhere else. I dunno.
The same goes with weight. Some guys are so conscious about not wanting to appear to be a fatty lover that a slightly chubby girl will be made out to be a hippopotamus.
Seems to me there are plenty of real “hippos” to be mocked or shamed. Some guys don’t want to take a chance though. Better to be safe, and call a woman a beluga whale, than risk redicule by brothers in arms.
Maybe the guys I am talking about are all banging 9.5s every night and a 6 or 7 looks like a gargoyle to them. I tend to doubt it though.
More likely their bark is compensating for their bite.

While I would love to describe th intricacies of the Epic Book 1 and Prologue, I can’t because of my horrible LOTRO skills. My inadequate skills of gaming has severely hindered my advancement to higher levels in the game and I apologize for not being able to reach these quests. However, I have a great substitute topic:
Why is this game SO. CONFUSING?
Today, I realized I have more than one sack to place my items in. I also realized that I can eat a numerous amount of food to regain health (morale? I dont know what to call it). I realized that I can, in fact, change weapons and sell items. All of this happened either today or yesterday. Did I mention I’ve been playing for a month?
Yes. A month.
Within that month I’ve discovered the wide variety of objects that can harm or kill me. Bears, wolves, man-eating spiders, and toads. YES. TOADS. How something so small can withstand 20 blows from an ax completely astounds me but I guess Shire toads are extremely resilient. I’ve also been called “n00b” in this game, or even better, completely ignored by other gamers who approach me and then quickly run away when I say, “Hi”. This world confuses me so. A frog can hold up a fight against me but when I fall from a manageable height I am left limping. Or how other gamers interrupt my fight with beasts to land the final blow. Or how it is only when I have very little health left do I fall off a cliff and into a wolf den where I am basically ripped to shreds by “Snarling Wolf” and “Wolf Leader”.
Besides my own frustration with the game, the virtual world of LOTRO that I actually HAVE experienced is amazing. The feeling that I have the entirety of Middle Earth to explore is real and the game designers attention to detail is amazing. It gave me great pleasure to walk around the Farthings and visit famous pubs, or even recognizing characters from the first book.
However, I am fully determined to reach the appropriate levels to enter these quest. Otherwise I would let down my avatar, and Calvirth will not stand for this.

So…there’s a whole bunch of buzz about the smoke that’s been spotted and I’ve been kinda curious. I managed to sit down with someone on the team who helps with the island map. And here’s what he had to say about the whole thing:
Q: Is this smoke we’re seeing coming from a volcano? Or is it a mountain?
A: At first I thought it might be the Tallest Mountain, but it can’t be. After all, there are taller mountains surrounding the one that’s smoking. And when you think about it, it must be a volcano! Most of the mountains on Club Penguin have snow on the top of them, but that mountain has never had any snow on it.
Q: Does this have anything to do with the ninja stuff that’s happening?
A: Well I can’t give away all our secrets, but I’ve noticed that the ninjas in Club Penguin have been very active lately!
Q: Um…Haven’t you noticed that there’s no TREAT shop on the map?
A: I suppose there are no treat shops, but if you ever need to satisfy your sweet tooth go to the kitchen at the Pizza Parlor and turn the big red lever on the Pizzatron 3000!
Not sure that my curiosity’s been satisfied…but at least we know it’s a volcano. And even though nobody’s willing to confirm it, I still wonder if all these mysterious things are related. Let me know if you hear anything else.

I remember playing Metal Slug in the arcades at various times in my life. Inevitably it would be one go, realisation of how hardcore it was and then find something else to play.
Fortunately for me the anthology has been released for PSP and I can get stuck in knowing I don’t have to put more money in when I die.
And die I did… lots.
First of all let me just say this is a really sweet package – 7 Metal Slug games on one UMD and the pacing of the levels makes this perfect for on the move gaming.
There are a few issues. The most major is some heavy slow down in the last two games, something I didn’t expect from a PSP title. It’s not enough to ruin the experience but is certainly very annoying.
Secondly, unless you love Metal Slug you probably won’t want to play through these in one go. It took me near enough a year to go through these as I did them one a month so I didn’t get bored.
And that isn’t a slight on the gameplay per se. Just that repeatedly pressing square over 7 entire games back to back wouldn’t float my boat.
The games themselves are full of weird and wonderful characters. You play as one of the Peregrine Falcon (PF) Squad – trying to stop the takeover of the world. Whether that’s against a dictator or alien lifeforms depends on what game you’re up to
For me that was where this game kind of cleaned up – it’s so charming and quite unlike anything else I’ve ever played.
Not only do they have these crazy storylines of Mummies, Aliens or Zombies but they mix it up by letting you become infected in some instances. So rather than just dying as per usual if a Zombie kills you it reanimates you with the slow walk and everything
All of the games take the same layout, with a big boss battle at the end of each level spicing things up.
Metal Slug isn’t a taxing game as you have unlimited continues and I feel it should applauded for that. You have the option to just set yourself a limit (say 5 continues) and then get on with it and see how far you get but it was great to experience these rich comical stories all the way through to the end.
The main thing about it was that, although repetitive in nature, Metal Slug Anthology was a really fun set of games and holds a lot of value for PSP owners.

Well, today I went out and bought Bungie’s newest installment in the Halo saga, Halo 3: ODST. I mentioned it just 2 days ago in a post on upcoming games, and at the time I thought I would not get the game for quite a while. However, I could not resist picking it up as I bought some groceries at my local Target. So, I ended paying my $60 and getting the game. And after playing ODST, it was well worth it. This game is definitely what I could expect from Bungie, and already a fast favorite. I will not trouble anyone with a background for the game, any true Halo fan already knows what has been going on in the Halo universe at the point of the game. What caught me off-guard is the game’s 180 from Halo 3 and the Halo franchise. Instead of fighting in a bright, vibrant world and linear gameplay, ODST takes place in a dark, ruined city and gives the player choices for how to proceed through the game. Though I usually like the bright, vibrant worlds, ODST finds a way to make them work. One of the highlights is the amazing score by Marty O’Donnell, which was adjusted from the typical Halo score to a new one, and it fits the game perfectly. The graphics are somewhat updated from Halo 3, but they are still great, and Halo 3’s graphics are still good anyways. The campaign is actually very interesting and keeps you hurrying to your next objective for more insight into the story. All in all, the game is a keeper. Not to mention, it comes with a Bonus disc containing all the Halo 3 maps as well as 3 new ones. Also, every purchase of Halo 3: ODST allows you access to the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta when it comes out. My parting advice? Buy this game!

Halo: ODST is about to land onto the Xbox360, Riding off of the success of Halo 3. Now, the notion that the game will be a fine addition to the Xbox library due to the success of the Halo series comes to many minds, I’m sure. This could be due to the marketing and promotion that has backed the game since conception and the Reveal. Some may even find the early Reviews of the game from various websites to be automatic motivation for purchase ( unfortunately some are susceptible to the charm of Bias, not to point fingers) But what should we really expect. I don’t know about you, but I have a few thoughts.
The Campaign mode, which goes through the different perspectives of the ODST members, offers the player about Six to Ten Hours. That is what is estimated. I’m Sure its longer when the players actual prefrence is put into the mix ( I.E. Difficulty, Ability, etc.) New weapons have been brought into the mix, such as a silenced SMG and a pistol that is reminicent of the pistol in the original Halo game.
The New Fire-fight mode allows players to play a Horde-type game with three other friends while the game mechanics, such as skulls from Halo 3 and vehichles, keep the game-type fresh and different from other similar game-types.
To be excited for Halo, all you have to be is a fan of action games and/or halo games. We’ll have to wait and see if the ODST’s bring the results that people expect from a quality Halo game.

If I had to pick a game that was so bizarre and crazy that it was nutty fun, The MAD Magazine Game would be it. Back in the 70’s MAD Magazine was a serious force on the magazine stand. I remember reading them and laughing at their fresh and irreverent presentations of everything from spoofing the latest movies and TV shows, to social-political commentary dressed up as jokes, to the Road Runner/Coyote style violence of Spy vs. Spy. And so when Parker Brothers came out in 1979 with a board game based on the MAD Magazine zeitgeist, it was a must-buy.

You know you’re playing a different kind of game right from the start when you learn what your goal is: to lose all your money. It’s much harder than it sounds, though, with the Card cards making your life difficult with cards like, “If you are a Boy Person, Win $500″ or “Change Chairs With Anyone.” You can get lucky, and get a Card card that says, “If you are GOOD LOOKING, stand up and imitate your favorite animal, and lose $2,000″ or “Stand up and BOO the person on your left. Also lose $1000.” As you can see, the game plays a little bit more wacky than your average board game fair.

Moving about the table is an integral part of the game, so don’t get too comfortable in your chair. Between spaces on the game board that move everyone to a new seat, to Card cards that do the same, expect to have to pick up your drink and move to your right or your left. But you have to leave your money behind, which can be a good thing (if you had more than anyone else) or a bad thing (if you were almost broke!). This means that there really is no effective strategy to winning the game that can be planned from the start; the random elements send any plan into disarray as quickly as it is formulated. Perhaps this was Parker Brothers’ version of Chaos Theory in action!

The game board is filled with classic MAD Magazine art and zany humor. You can see art from Spy vs. Spy, The Lighter Side of…, site gags from Don Martin and Sergio Aragones, and more. And much like the magazine itself, there are little surprises throughout the game board that you stumble upon as you play. Some scenes should bring back memories, and perhaps a smile or guffaw or two. Just make sure your legal name isn’t Alfred E. Neuman, or you’ll have to collect the special $1,329,063 bill included in the game. Did I mention the game is wacky?

After trying to make these myself, I have realized just how high quality the Nurikabe nikoli puts out is. For these it is so easy to make a boring puzzle that solves monotonously, but every one of theirs does interesting things with the rules. It took more than one try to make one of these that came somewhere close to that standard, although it’s hard for me to judge myself.

The guys who are all over their girlfriends in public — and I mean all over in the nuzzling, cuddling, pucker mouth kisses way, not the slap-her-ass-hard way — are nearly always betas who are happy to have a girl in their lives and can’t help but express their gratitude. When you hardly ever eat, you feast like a pig at the trough and gorge yourself not knowing when your next meal is coming. This, of course, is self-defeating because it kills the girl’s attraction.
What makes my example particularly heinous, beyond the fact that PDA is a sure-fire to annoy any woman, is the fact that wrapping your arm around your girl while you’re WALKING is an amazing demonstration of lower value. When you’re out and about with your girl, take my advice and keep your hands off her. Walk at your own pace. It’s her job to keep up with you. You don’t have to hew to the Mennonite method of making the womenfolk walk two steps behind, but you should assume command at all times. If you’re out of high school and still suffocating your woman with your meek physical displays of love, you deserve to be laughed at by pricks like me.
In an attempt to generate gamers’ interest in Infinity Ward’s forthcoming game ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2′, Microsoft and Activision unveiled an exclusive global Xbox 360 console for the game, thereby marking the “the biggest entertainment launch of all time.”
Announcing the new $400 package at the Activision press event for the promotion of the game, scheduled for November 10 worldwide release, Microsoft elaborated that the bundle would comprise a black Modern Warfare 2-themed console; two wireless controllers; a 250GB hard drive; and a copy of the much-awaited game.
Referring to the inclusion of Infinity Ward’s latest title in the Xbox 360 games’ spectrum, Xbox senior marketing director Albert Penello said that Microsoft had been working with Call of Duty, and anticipated it to be one of the biggest games of the year.
Calling the Xbox 360 tie-up for the game a “cool” move, Penello added that Microsoft had done something similar in the past too, with Halo!

Ez egy új MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) amit az NCsoft (Lineage, Lineage 2, Jan-Ryu-Mon etc.) rakott össze, sokan nevezik forradalmian új mmo-nak is. Elsőre olyannak tűnik az egész, mint egy wow ami össze van mixelve kis lineage-el és perfect word-el. Ami ebből igaz, h tényleg össze van szedve az említett mmo-kból pár dolog, viszont ez nem minden. Az átvett dolgokat sajátosan dolgozták ki, emellé társul a gyönyörű grafika, hála a Far Cry motornak (Cryengine 1.5 asszem). A legjobb a játékban, ami sokaknak fog számítani, hogy a PVP-t nagyon jól összehozták, de a PVE is egész jó. Az utóbbit tanusíthatom, viszont pvpzni még nem volt normálisan lehetőségem, cska low szinten, ott elvertek mint a szart. Elvileg 25-30as szintől kezdenek balanszolódni a kasztok. A készítők érdeme még az is a játékban, hoyg minden egyes fegyverfajtával más animációt láthatunk a karakterünktől, ls emmellé nagyon szép, kidolgozott skill effectek társulnak (ezt cabalból vették). Összegezve, összeszedték minden mmo-ból a jó ötleteket, és megpróbáltak csinálni belőle valamit, ami szerintem egész jól összejött nekik. Persze még nem veszi fel a versenyt a WoW-al, mivel a wow azért elég sok ideje fut, és eléggé szerteágazó, de majd talán a közeljövőben össze lehet mérni a 2őt. Jelenleg az aion online oylan stádiumban van, mint a wow- amikor elindult, szóval van még mit szépíteni, balanszolni rajta, de attól még élvezhető a játék. A játék legnagyobb “hátránya”, hogy fizetős (havidíjas) lesz.
Sajna csak pár napot tudtam játszani vele, de ennyi elég volt, hogy rászánjam magam a megvételére (nem szoktam nagyon eredeti játékokat venni, cska azokat amik jók). 26os szintig jutottam el Gladiatorként, és egész megtetszett a játék. Viszont egyedül nem érdemes belekezdeni, mivel erősen rámegy a Party Playre a játék. Szóval van oylan hely/szint ahol csak partyval tudsz tuvábbquestelni/továbbmenni. Ja és mivel kóreai, tápolni/grindolni elég sokat kellett benne az elején (hallottam azoktól akik próbálták az előző verzióját a játéknak), viszotn az Európai változatba már bekerült egy tucat quest meg Insta, amitól már nem kell sokat vesződni a fejlődéssel.
Akinek felkeltettem az érdeklődését, és hajlandó kis pénz áldozni a játékra, azt várjuk majd az [ENG]Spatalos nevű szerveren Asmodian oldalon, Celestial Being nevü klánnal.

Csak az Elyos és az Asmodian oldal játszható, ők háborúznak egymással, de néha beköszönnek a Balaurok is és segítenek egyik fajnak, vagy szétverik mindkettőt.
-Kasztok:
Minden kaszt lv10ig van, és utána lehet váltani egy fejlettebb kaszttá (ragnarok szerü kasztrendszer). A kasthasonlítások úúgy nagyjából stimmelnek.
-Még pár dolog:
Ami viszont nem tetszik benne, de ez meg az mmo-s társadalom sara: nem lehet statuspointokat osztani. Sajna a mai mmo-s player vagy túl hüyle hozzá, vagy túl lusta, így autómatikusan osztja el szintenként a statot, mint wow-ban. statot csak Mana stone-okkal, vagy skillekkel tudsz változtatni.
Szerintem egy hónapot érdemes megvenni, kipróbálni milyen, aztán ha nemtetszik akkor i.j. ha meg igen akkor úgyis jön a következő hónap

Last week, Roissy posted on sick game, the idea of approaching girls when you’re under the weather. He also wrote on hangover game a few months back, which works according to the same logic – putting yourself in physical and mental discomfort makes you more attractive to the ladies, because you stop giving a damn about social conventions and just behave like a jerk. I’ve come across another variant on this theme – fatigue game.
Sleep deprivation is a real bitch. If you don’t get the requisite amount of shut-eye in a twenty-four hour period (eight hours for me, though your mileage may vary), your body wreaks its horrible revenge. Your head throbs with waves of pain. Your stomach churns with indigestion. Your muscles spasm (my right leg starts jittering uncontrollably, for instance). Your limbs ache and become sluggish in movement. Even worse is the mental damage. Your brain unfastens from its moorings, becoming disinterested in anything that doesn’t lead to a nice, warm place to curl up and nap. You start staring off into space. You become mean-minded in your body’s obsession with sleep. You become, in other words, an unrepentant asshole.
Due to more problems at Chateau Bardamu, I spent the better part of last week deprived of Z’s and was in the foulest of moods as a result. It’s near impossible to be mirthful or even content when your digestive tract is burning with acid and your cerebrum feels like its being massaged with live electrodes. After a couple of days in which I’d gotten a total of three hours of sleep, I had finished chowing down at a restaurant during my lunchbreak when I spotted a cute white chick sitting at a table near the exit. After tossing my trash and heading to leave, I opened her. During our conversation, I spoke less than I normally do, never smiled, maintained an upright, unshakable posture, and stared her in the eye almost the entire time, all while my brain was prodding me to close my eyes and drift off to Dreamland. And surprisingly, it worked, as her hair-flipping and laughing at my crummy jokes showed. After twenty minutes, I got up to go back to work, getting her number before I left.

In college, I had an extremely hard time going to sleep before 3 am or waking up before noon. True story, this is how I picked my major. English professors don’t do mornings, either.
Now, this would be all well and good if I didn’t have a work-study job on Sunday mornings (!) at 8am (!). What’s more, it wasn’t something I could blow off: I had to open the religious offices for service, and I was the only one around.
So my solution many times was to just not sleep—stay up all night, go to work, open it up, sit at the desk, wait for the shift to end (1pm), then go home to dorm and sleep. Not a bad plan?
Well, as we all know, you tend to act a bit loopy when tired. I’d open up the religious offices, and Sunday girls come strolling in, dressed in nice-but-sexy college-girls-but-good-girls dress.
Normally, I wouldn’t make eye contact, but being tired, I stared up and down without caring, my feet propped up, and even let out an errant whistle or comment in my tiredness.
My boldness paid off–whenever I did this, I got a girl to come over and chat with me, and sometimes hung out with her later in a decidedly Biblical fashion. My politeness when not tired, in contrast, got me little but girls ignoring me at my station.
If you want to try fatigue game, I have a few tips for survival while sleepless, culled from a lifetime of screwing with my Circadian rhythm:
Later that day, after getting off from work, I got home, jumped on the couch, and slept like an arsenic-poisoned kitty cat for five hours. Eating, sleeping, fucking – is it any shock that the most satisfying pleasures in life are the most primal?

Two of my classmates was knocking on the door and i opened the door. I asked them, “Where did you guys go? Class?” Then Shuk suddenly raised up with his voice and said “YEA…WHY? CANT I GO TO CLASS?” Then i raised up my voice and said “YEA U CAN…I WAS JUST ASKING…” Then he said “YEA…BUT THE WAY U ASKED IS AS IF UR MAKING FUN OF ME GOING TO CLASS” Another two replies or so by me then i laughed and lowered my voice saying “Ohh ohh sorry if i offend you”…haha…well thats was just a random game and typical of me, i lost…i still dont have the gift of shouting at people and actually win…
So anyways my life would be much easier if people are that straight with me…got a problem people? Just say it…I wont bite…

Wow!! 100 days…I don’t think I’ve ever stuck with anything that many days in a row. Outside of a few days of not knowing what to get/being stuck, it has been such a fun adventure. I love the internet and how easy it makes it to find things that look like they might be fun to try, do or have. As of today I have received, and spent, $5,050,000.00!!!
Lately I have been doing lots of research for a new camera (which is partly why I’m not getting around to this post until the evening); I thought I wanted the Canon SX1 IS but after reading some of the reviews I changed my mind, now I just had to find something that would meet my needs AND had some good/great reviews. I was thisclose to getting the Fuji S100fs, but I couldn’t find any stores that carried it to give it a try. This morning I stumbled upon a camera review site that recommended the Sony DSC-HX1; I then found out that Best Buy sold it and I got sucked up reading the reviews there. One of the things that nailed this model for me was the photos taken from an indoor concert and some concert videos that were shot (HD). There are some other features that made me choose this camera, but that’s not what this blog is for – I might do a review about it and post some pictures on my other blog at a later date…still waiting for the battery to charge up.
While surfing around inhabitat.com again I came across the above hybrid wind/solar street lamps that are made by Urban Green Energy. I thought about how nice it would be to see these in our downtown area, then I started thinking about the Tree House Park I created earlier in the game (days 71-74 and day 89) and thought how nice it would be to use these for lights in the park. I love how they look more like sculptures than lights, and the fact they don’t need any electricity is a big plus.
Since I couldn’t find any prices I’ll just say that today’s $100,000 is for however many street lamps we can get for that amount (for both the downtown area and Tree House Park).

Cooking Dash: Diner Town Studios is developed by Aliasworlds and published by PlayFirst and gets you to do a very familiar thing – serve the clients as quick as you can.
The game offers you to play in one of the two modes: Story mode or Endless mode.
The story mode features 50 levels with 5 different locations, while the endless mode allows you to try your best in any level with three difficulty levels: easy, medium or hard.

PRANCIS – Sebuah game online baru yang beredar di Prancis menimbulkan kontroversi. Dalam game tersebut, pemain berperan sebagai gelandangan dan diberi tugas mencuri serta berkelahi demi mencapai kesuksesan. Kontan saja, hal ini memancing kritikan dari banyak pihak di Prancis.Mereka yang mengkritik game ini menyebutkan bahwa si pembuatnya telah menghina para gelandangan. Game tersebut mencitrakan para gelandangan sebagai pencuri, akrab dengan kekerasan dan tindak kriminal.
“Ini hal yang menyakitkan bagi para gelandangan. Bagaimana mungkin si pembuat game dengan tega menggambarkan mereka sebagai kelompok yang berperilaku seperti orang barbar,” kata juru bicara Palang Merah Prancis, Jean-François Riffaud.
“Gambar-gambar pada game tersebut sangat jelas memperlihatkan bagaimana para gelandangan saling menyerang satu sama lain demi bertahan hidup,” tambahnya.
Telegraph, Selasa (1/9/2009) melansir, permainan bernama Clodogame yang artinya Gelandangan, melibatkan pemain untuk menjadi seorang gembel yang hidup di jalanan kota Paris untuk berjuang meningkatkan kemampuan mereka hingga mereka mendapat predikat gelandangan paling berbakat di Paris dan secara bertahap bisa menyentuh kehidupan gemerlap di kerajaan Versailles.
Untuk bisa menyampai level tersebut, mereka harus menyingkirkan gelandangan lainnya dengan kekerasan. Pemain pun diberi tugas mencuri dan merampok orang. Hanya dalam waktu satu bulan, game ini telah memiliki 5.000 pengguna terdaftar.
Para gelandangan dan tunawisma di Prancis langsung mengajukan protes menanggapi game tersebut. Mereka merasa terhina karena si pembuat game sama dengan menyamaratakan citra gelandangan dengan sangat buruk.
Namun Farbflut, perusahaan asal Jerman yang memproduksi game tersebut mengklaim dengan mengatakan bahwa pihaknya sama sekali tidak bermaksud seperti itu.
“Game tersebut justru meningkatkan kepedulian mereka tentang keberadaan gelandangan. Dari mereka pun kemudian banyak yang menghubungi kami untuk menanyakan bagaimana caranya agar mereka bisa menyumbang untuk membantu para gelandangan,” tandas juru bicara Farbflut. (rah)
