Playing “Door” With the Cats
When you live with two Cats,
that is to say, when you have two cats living with you,
you get to play a game with them all day, each and every day.
The game is called, Door.
One Cat will go to the Door and ask to go, “out,”
And it may have to ask this a couple of times, politely,
(all-the-while-thinking-you’re-good-for-food-but-as-dumb-as-toast,)
and you go to the Door.
And let that Cat
Outside.
And, at the same time the Other Cat,
the one who was sitting outside this whole time,
waiting for the Cat Inside to advance the Game,
Hops or will sometimes sashay blithely
Inside.
And the game starts all over again.
